July was definitely a popular month for weddings and engagement shoots! One of my favourite was Alex + Steven‘s wedding, especially since I got to work with hair magician, Monica Le, again!
Alex is such a sweet girl that has the utmost love and care for Steven. I definitely saw this passion during our trial as she wanted to go outside her comfort zone and do something that Steven would like…smokey eyes with dramatic lashes. So we proceeded with evening out her skin tone with airbrushing and did a bronze smokey eye.
On the day of the wedding, we decided to add a bit more drama to the look by bringing down the shadow to her lower lash line and changing out the lashes to be a bit longer.
I always love meeting new vendors and that day I got to meet Ryan Chan. Here’s one random tidbit that I will remember about Ryan on that day. He claims he “accidentally” wore purple socks which just so happens matched the exact shade of purple of the bridesmaids dresses. I think he was being modest and did it on purpose. Needless to say, it put a smile on Alex‘s face.
I’m not sure how Ryan managed to do this but in less than a month, he banged out these beautiful photos. Congrats again Alex + Steve on your marriage and thanks for having Monica and I be part of your special day!
