Back in June, I posted on Facebook the following photo:

geox-blistop

A few weeks later, I can officially say that my flats are broken in and there are no blisters on my feet!  Farleyco are so generous that they are offering one lucky reader a chance to try out this product!  Scroll down for more information on the giveaway.

CLAIMS:
Blistop Blister Prevention Spray has been specifically designed to protect the feet from blisters.  It creates a transparent film that is water resistant to protect the area of the skin exposed to rubbing. The discreet and transparent second skin allows you to wear the shoes of your choice and feel confident and pain-free all day long.  Can also be used on hands.

Comes in a CFC-free can and can be used up to 50 application.
Fun Fact: CFCs are Chlorofluorocarbons and have been identified as the contributing factor for the degradation of the ozone.  This is why using aerosol cans that are CFC-free is important.

DIRECTIONS:
Shake well before use. Apply onto clean, dry skin. Spray at a distance of 2-4 inches from the skin using short bursts. When the area is covered, leave the skin to dry before putting on shoes or socks. Reapply as needed. Store between 10-20°C in a dry place.
Caution: Do not spray this on open wounds or cuts or near sparks, heats, or open flame.

PRICE:
$7.99CAD / $6.99US for 32.5mL/1.1oz

REVIEW:
I’ve tried the Band-Aid Friction Block stick before and it didn’t work.  Because the product is emollient, it would transfer onto my shoe causing it to be one greasy mess and still leave me with blisters.  So I had much given up on products that would prevent blisters and resulted to using bandaids.  Using bandaids aren’t that great either.  They are noticeable and sometimes, the bandaid starts to fall off if the shoe continuously rubs the edge of the bandaid. Also, you’re left with this sticky residue that you try so hard to wash off in the shower.

At the BlushPretty Beauty Board, I was introduced to Flexitol Blistop and so fortunate enough that it was in the swag bag.  Initially when purchasing my Geox flats, they were so comfortable that I didn’t think I would need to break into them.  After a few hours of walking, I realized that it started to rub against the back of my foot.  When I went home, I was greeted by two giant blisters.  Sometimes with new shoes, you just need to break them in so they conform to your feet.

After a few days of wearing sneakers, I was prepared to break in my flats. In comes Blistop! Just spray, wait, and go!

2. Uncap

Is the product water resistant?
Yes, I walked in the rain with my flats on and didn’t experience any rubbing and the product was still in tack. Now, I’m not sure how well this would perform after swimming in a pool or taking a shower.  But in the pouring rain, it was good.

Does the product create a transparent film?
Yes! After letting the product dry, you can feel a very thin layer on your skin. It’s a bit eerie at first but at the same time, kinda neat.

Does the product protect the area of skin exposed to rubbing?
Most definitely! After using this product for a few days, my flats are officially broken into and there are no signs of blisters or open wounds.

Would I buy this product again?
Most definitely! Because I raved about this product, my Sister requested that I buy her 2 cans to try out. Hoping she likes the product as much as I do 🙂  Since this product is so small and fits into the palm of my hand, I often carry it around my purse.

Fun Fact:
When reading the promotional material, I actually learned a lot and wanted to share a tidbit with you.

Did you know that there is a correlation between diabetes and feet?
Since people diagnosed with diabetes have poor circulatory systems, they often have numbness in their feet.  Sometimes patients don’t even know they have ulcers until the doctors screen them.  Every year in North America, there are 75,000 amputations.  So foot care is essential for people diagnosed with diabetes which makes Blistop a “must have” product in the household.
